When we encounter a headache of dust problems, of course, to choose the best dust removal equipment, then the common bag filter and electrostatic precipitator should be how to choose? Today we will talk about the difference between the two, so that you know more clearly what kind of dust removal equipment your working conditions are suitable for.           

 

Filtration efficiency:           

Cloth bag dedusting is physical filtration and dust filtration. It is not influenced by dust attributes.            

1,ESP is greatly influenced by the specific resistance of dust. When the specific resistance of dust exceeds 10_10_ cm (10 to 10 power), the performance of ESP will decrease with the increase of specific resistance. It is mainly due to the higher resistivity than the resistance to form an inverse corona phenomenon, which reduces the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator.            ,

2, the initial investment of cloth bag type dust is small, but maintenance is complicated. ESP has great investment and easy maintenance later.           

3, although the efficiency of dust removal can reach 99%, ESP has been theoretically achieved. The efficiency of cloth bag dedusting is far greater than that of electrostatic precipitator.           

 

Principle difference:           

1. Electrostatic precipitation: the dust-containing gas is separated by electricity when it passes through the high-voltage electrostatic field. After the dust particles are charged negatively with the negative ions, it tends to deposit on the anode surface. The dust collection method uses the electrostatic field to ionize the gas so that the dust particles are charged and adsorbed on the electrode.           

2. Cloth bag dedusting: Dusty gas enters the dust hopper through the air inlet or the filter bag chamber through the open flange opening. Dusty gas filters through the filter bag into the clean air chamber, and then passes through the exhaust port of the clean air chamber and is exhausted by the fan.           

 

Advantages of electrostatic precipitator:           

1. It is suitable for particle control, and the particle size of 1~2 particle M can reach 98%~99%.           

2. In ESP, the energy of dust particles separated from the airflow is not supplied by the airflow, but directly supplied by the dust particles. Therefore, compared with other high-efficiency precipitators. The resistance of ESP is low, only 100-200Pa.           

3, can handle high temperature (below 752 ℉) gas.           

4. For large projects, the greater the amount of gas handled, the more obvious the economic effect will be.           

 

The advantages of bag filter are:           

1. Dust removal efficiency, generally more than 99%, can reach the dust concentration of 20-30Mg/Nm at the outlet of the dust collector, and has a higher classification efficiency for sub-micron particles.           

2, under the premise of ensuring the same efficiency of dust removal, its cost and operation cost are lower than that of electrostatic precipitator.           

3. It is insensitive to dust characteristics and is not affected by dust resistance.           

4. When the filter bag is made of glass fiber and some kinds of synthetic fiber, it can run steadily at 320-392 ℉. Some of the filter bags can withstand 500 ℉ when high performance filter media is selected.           

5, when used in dry desulfurization system, the desulfurization efficiency can be appropriately raised.
